Sitting on the Dock of the Bay...

Here are few shots I took of some gorgeous cousins a few weeks ago. It had rained all morning (when I say rain, please read "monsoon") and we weren't sure we would be able to get the shots in, but just before lunch the sun came out (along with the heat and humidity, YUCK) as well as the smiles!

The most fun for me was just hanging out with this family and waiting for the rain to pass. The kids were so comfortable and calm with me thanks to the time we spent playing and chatting, it paid off with some fantastic shots. I also got to spend some time with one of favorite people (one half of the cousin's mom, M.) and I got to really meet her sister, K. Thanks ladies for sharing your kids, and the chicken salad!

These photos were taken in Sullivan, IL in a neighbors backyard. They had the perfect little dock on the community pond with a bench on it and all of the cat tail growing up on the ponds edge for a fantastic summer back drop. Thanks to the neighbor!
